Hand strap dilemma

My very very cheap hand strap is soon giving up on me so I have been browsing the internet for a new one.
This time I have narrowed it down to two options.

First one is Joby UltraFit Hand Strap with universal plate.

Second one is Ciesta with arca swiss style plate.
Amazon.com: Ciesta CSS-HG01-04 Leather Hand Grip + Plate (Dark Brown) for Digital SLR DSLR Camera: Camera & Photo

My only concern and question is will these fit the K-3 which I plan to buy later this year?
I can easy see they will fit my K-30 but it looks like K-3 is using a different kind of way to connect a hand strap/neck strap.

It looks like both plates have a place for me to connect my Black Rapid which I look forward to.

Hope there is someone here that can answer my question.

Cheers
Josef

I am also looking for a nice hand strap. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of those straps using tripod mounts which makes it difficult to keep camera on a flat surface. Some serious innovation is needed.

I prefer neck strap using as hand strap (wrap) - something like
. Sometimes it is handy to be able quickly put camera on the neck ( for example to change the lenses), and no need to spend the money .

I'll give that a try. I presently use a wrist strap I bought over 25 years ago. Its a bit inconvenient when I want to drop it and use the Q which is also on wrist strap.

i use a peak design wrist strap.

i really like it, I asked them about selling just the clips seperate so i could use my own neck strap, and they told me they were thinking about it.
It's a really secure connection, and switching the strap from camera to camera (or neck to wrist for that matter) is super simple, and really fast

I have the Camdapter Prostrap. Genuine leather, well constructed, and very good looking. It fit my k-5 and my new k-3, even w/ the grip. I use a shoulder sling attached to the other side of the included QR plate/camera.

Anyone that know if the hand straps on my list will work fine on a K-3?

I use a Herringbone Hand Strap that I first learned about on this forum. It's comfortable, very well made, looks good, comes in a few colors, and goes for about $40 on eBay.

Probably my most favorite accessory I have purchased for my K5.

They all should. Most if not all straps have excess that allows it to be customized to the fit both the camera and the girth of your hand.

I'll second this. The neck strap and the wrist strap are nice. I found a hand strap not very useful, maybe because of my large hands. To get it secure I couldn't access the buttons, loose enough it is too loose to hold it other than a strap.

Another vote for a Camdapter Pro strap. I really like mine:

It still allows you to use a neck strap. I actually use an Ezeestrap :Ezee Strap, Shoulder Camera Straps, Binocular Harness, Toronto EZEE Camera Straps

I think the best combo would be the Herringbone strap with a Camdapter plate.

My QUESTION is:
How do you operate back-side body (K-3) buttons with palm of your right-hand in a strap?
