Small is beautiful

This is my compact Pentax kit:

1 = Pentax DA Limited 21mm
2 = Pentax DA 16-45mm f/4
3 = Seagull Right Angle Viewfinder
4 = Pentax GPS Unit
5 = Pentax DA Limited 15mm
6 = Pentax DA Limited 70mm
7 = Pentax 1.4x Rear Converter
8 = generic remote shutter
9 = custom hot shoe flash extension
10 = Pentax lens hood for 16-45mm
11 = various step up rings
12 = Marumi Circular Polarizer 67mm
13 = Pentax Limited 35mm Macro
14 = Flashpoint (Meike) Mini Speedlight
15 = Pentax 50mm f/1.8
16 = OpTech USA 11” Accessory Pack
17 = OpTech USA Pro Strap

and what it looks like hanging from my shoulder (selfie via Pentax FluCard)

btw, this compact kit explains why I insist that my Pentax lenses be no bigger in diameter than 67mm. I find the compactness of this system remarkable. Thank you Pentax!

Wow that's thin! So that's everything but the 60-250 and K-3, or do other items swap in/out for special occasions? Very nice.

Don't see a camera in there. Do you carry it in another case?

yes, this accessory pack packs nicely in my lightweight travel backpack. Generally when I an shooting my camera is always "out", hanging via an OpTech USA Sling Strap connected to my backpack's straps. In addition, the camera body firmly connected to my belt with a Peak Design Camera Pro clip.

Great idea. Just ordered it and the Pro strap. Already use OpTech so know it's good.

I actually own both sizes -- sometimes I only need a small kit. Other times I need the whole enchilada.

Thanks Michael; they certainly are inexpensive, for what you get! I've been an OptTech fan/customer for many years!

Wow, that looks pretty awesome! Did the case come with all those dividers or were they aftermarket pieces?

Looks amazing. Just a little error -- number 6 is the DA 70 and number 7 is the 1.4x teleconverter.

They do indeed come with five diminutive dividers as shown but I had to add two more in order to have a compartment for each item.

Michael - excellent! A like for that! I have been using Op/Tech for years, and switched everything over to it.

Here's my experience using the straps:

Top - K-30, DA* 16-50
Bottom: K-5 IIs, Grip, DA* 60-250

Have you tried the Backpack/Reporter strap? It's what my K-30/16-50 is hanging by. I find it to be a phenomenal way to use the camera in conjunction with a backpack (as long as it has webbing along the straps). And it in conjunction with a slingstrap is a very, very effective way to dual carry. I haven't tried any of their dual harnesses yet to see if they are better (or allow for triple carry ).

And can you take some pictures of that and how you have that set up? I always have it just hanging free on my sling strap (just like in the image above....yes it held perfectly despite only using one connector - I can't seem to figure out how to use both with the sling strap, so I just leave it connected to only one side...not sure if that's how it's supposed to be done).

Also just out of curiosity....as a Nikon Pro, do you find yourself leaving the D800 kit at home a lot in lieu of the K-3 kit for none other than the obvious reason - Nikon has no equivalent offering, especially for the size.
