I have enough!

OK...i finally broke down and ordered a Pentax AF-540 FGZ flash despite the locking pin issue and an extra rechargable battery. Hopefully now I won't buy anything else....except for some good photo opportunities.

Congrats and you can fill the locking pin hole to avoid that issue.

Can I quote you when the new KXXD comes out?

I'm not going to buy anything new until the K30D comes out...and now I'm going to use a 12-Step program to help me with my obsession.

You also need a long prime lens (hint: DA*200 or DA*300)

Don't you need a new camera bag?

Oh come now Sprags....... surely thats the party line with the wife or girlfriend...... a man can not be expected to be limited to using the flash on the camera.... all the time....... good God man, thats just not cricket. You should at least make this purchase, if it will indeed be your final purchase, a complete one. We all know that it would not be complete without some off camera means (like a cable and adapters). Ohh and maybe a wireless trigger device (don't they come in pairs)....... maybe another 540 flash, or its baby brother the 360..... yes everyone should have a younger brother. But how will it all fit in your present bag. You simply must have an adequate bag. Something nice and roomy - roomy enough for much MUCH MORE!!!!!

must not buy anything else

maybe just a little something - ha ha (you will never be free)

I got an extra battery for the camera. I have a dozen or so rechargeable AA batteries that I got for my now retired Canon P&S.

I gotta find a LBA Anonymous meeting.

I tried a search... can you point me to a thread discussing this?

I can't remember where I read this but it was suggested (and I tried it successfully) to fill the little hole with white carpenters glue. Now I'm not saying you should, that's your choice and a little tape might be fine as well. But carpenters glue if carefully put only in the hole (I used a sharp tooth pick with a small drop on the tip) fills the hole and since it doesn't stick to the plastic very well, is easily removed if needed.

Maybe I should start an LBA Anonymous group in the social groups area.

...most addicts really only substitute one addiction for another...eventually you will need a Tripod-aholics Anonymous group and a Camera Bag-aholics Anonymous group....
