Question about Domke Camera Straps?

I picked up a new camera and one of the first things I need is a new camera strap.

One I'm looking at is the Domke Gripper straps, mostly because I recently picked up one of their bags that I like quite a bit. The strap on the bag is quite comfortable, which is making me rethink my previous habit of getting neoprene straps. Neoprene is comfortable but a bit bulky.

The big question I have, is what are the length of the straps, if anyone has one? Their web page doesn't say much, and I haven't seen any photos with people modeling them to even guess.

Hmmm...length? Do you mean the canvas part or the total length? I will get mine and measure it...

...about 54" (137 cm) total with about 19" (48 cm) of canvas for the 1.5" with swivel version. Allowing for double-back on the attachment, total on camera is about 47" (119 cm).

Thanks... The total length is what I was looking for. Information on that strap is a bit vague on their own webpages.

I give a thumbs up to the Domke straps. I use the wider version with my K5, Canon EOS1v and 3. The narrow diameter is what I have on my smaller K1000, FM2

That is what I do as well. The wide 1.5" version is on the K-3 and the heavier film SLRs while the 1" version is on the Spotmatic II and smaller SLRs and rangefinder photos.

Also, if you like Domkes, you might look for Lowepro Speedsters, which are similar. Frequently at least in past years an Ebay bargain and much the same thing as a Domke Gripper with the webbing and rubber thread, unlike Lowepro's more 'modern' offerings. (no swivels, but I don't care for swivels anyway.)

Pretty much I use those and the neoprene Op-tech 'Boomerangs' unless I happen to have something older on there.

I bought myself just such a belt, I use for about 3 years, with the active use.
Now I'm thinking to change it.
it is both beautiful and practical enough!
