Sony Alpha to Pentax K Adapter?

So i've recently brought an awesome alpha lens, thinking that it may be able to adapt to Pentax.

But after much search, i can only find MD-PK and not MA-PK. Anybody have an work around?

Thanks,

The registration distance is shorter for Sony/Minolta Alpha lenses than for Pentax, so they are not adaptable to one another. The only adapter you can get will either have an optic to re-focus the lens (which degrades quality significantly because these aren't OEM adapters) or will turn your lenses into macro-only ones.

its quiet hard to find one actually...
i cant even find one that has the glass in-between.

But there is the MC/MD to Pentax.

Does the Sony Alpha/MA mount into the MC/MD end of this adapter mentioned above?

No, Minolta completely changed the mount between the MC/MD and the Alpha.

There probably aren't many around because they're of limited utility. Edit to add: The Alpha also uses electronic contact for controlling the aperture. (Like Canon EOS.) So this is likely the stopping point for an adapter this way, in addition to the registration stuff.

darn it, the lens i purchased was an manual focus cine lens, so i wasn't worrying about the contacts.

but judging from the situation, i might have to resell it, and purchase another one..

Edit, thanks for the helps!

There should be something like adaptall lenses for these new lenses, I think MFT people are doing good job of keeping lenses interchangeable.
