Battery care & usage

When you have multiple batteries, what is the best way to care for them? Leave them in storage, discharged; keep them charged & alternate usage?

Long-term storage is apparently best at 1/2 charge.

I write the date I purchased the batteries, rotate their usage, and try to allow full discharge before recharging.
I have yet noticed any diminished performance/longevity for 6+ years for K20 and 4+ years for K5iis, having 2 batteries (grip+body) for each camera.

I agree rotate them just as you should with owning multiple SD cards.

I do rotate my batteries, but was not sure as to what charge capacity they should be, when stored.
