Wow, excellent news. Hopefully this other company won't interfere negatively with the running of the Katzeye business.

Thats great news! But it still maybe a good idea to order any screens people may have been considering. At the least it will give them a financial boost and its not like a screens going to go bad!

Has it been made official who bought Katz Eye?
QuoteQuote:
Dear Fellow Photographer,

Great News!! Recent negotiations have proved successful and I am pleased to announce that KatzEye™ Optics will be acquired by a premier manufacturer of microstructured optics. This strategic collaboration will leverage the best skills of both companies and will allow KatzEye™ Optics to continue to support the photographic community. We are so pleased that instead of having to close the doors, a way was found for KatzEye™ products to continue to be available, and even to expand the product line to more camera models. Exciting times!

Online ordering will be available very soon, as quickly as systems can be merged, hopefully no later than 30 March 2015. All orders placed before this announcement are being processed currently and will ship no later than 26 March 2015. Our customer support will of course continue to be available throughout the transition. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us

Thank you for your patronage and your trust, and we look forward to continuing to be part of your photographic experience!

Warmest Regards,
The KatzEye™ Optics Team
I got the feeling from an email I had from camerascreen that it maybe them?

I guess if production moves to Australia, that would be a good indication.

I was just about to order one for my second K3. I'll just wait until April 20.

Better check again, guys!

From the website today: "We had hoped to negotiate the sale of KatzEye™, so that production of our products could continue; but unfortunately, those plans have not come to fruition and it appears we will simply have to close."

Oh, that's bad news.

What a roller coaster of events.

I suspect Katzeye would like to see this thread title become something relevant to the present situation. Many search, few follow through.
