I made this a while back but never shared it so i thought now would be a great time.

So what it is, is a black metal box which is actually a 20 dB pad (for you audiophiles out there) with two adapters to get into the camera. The dB pad already had the XLR connector on both ends so i took off the male side and added a plastic piece with a switch for Bulb mode. I then drilled two hole for the two red buttons to go in. The button in the middle is the focus and the one toward the top is the shutter release. I wanted it to be XLR so that i can extend it easily however far i want (i almost always have access to XLR cable). The adapter from XLR to 1/8" I made and the adapter from 1/8" to 3/32" i had from an old pocket PC. For the final touched i had my brother print (cut) some Pentax stickers. This thing is rock solid and looks good to (if i might say so myself).

1/8" TRS = 1/8" diameter with three connections: TIP, RING, and SLEEVE.
The three connections are divided by a different color band.
This should be the correct wiring for the 3/32" TRS connector. Everything else is just adapters to get to this point.
TIP to SLEEVE = Shutter
TIP to RING = Focus

jzamora where I could find one of those 20 dB pads? It's by far the best looking remote I've seen in any remote 'till now. It seems so solid. Would it be expensive to buy?
