I am about to buy one of these tomorrow. Anything bad I should know before buying?

Sigma flashes are prone to flooding.

Har. It's happened here before as well. And I live in a temperate climate.

Lots of power for your money.

Can't be used as a P-TTL wireless slave, which I use all the time. (The Super model can, although I had problems using the K10D's built-in flash as a controller in low light.)

There's only two power choices — full and 1/16th — in manual mode.

Sigma's are also prone to refusing to take more than ten shots in a ten minute period, having the battery door fall of (not break - just fall off) and overheating the zoom mechanism so as to cause the rails and gears the zoom runs on expand and jam.

Also, you'll need a Phd in Linguistics to decipher the manual.

All in all, a sorry excuse for a flash system, and a waste of $500.

I have one, and for the price, its great for the power. I've used it for wedding, and the swiver head really come in handy for a lot of shots.

I've a 360 as well, and wish it has a swiver head... but I guess I need to go for 540.....more $$$

I've been experimenting with the wireless flash, and I think its great for some situation. I've just acquired Flash Waves and some optical slaves to give both my flash some "freedom".
