Just looking for some scratch protection for my K-50 screen. Don't need tempered glass just something that will prevent scratches without the cost of view. Any suggestions?

I'm very, very pleased with this protector. Mine included both LCD protectors. They look very professional on the camera; actually look as though they are part of the camera. ACMAXX makes them for several Pentax models.

I had the ACMAXX one at first for my K-50. Then it came off one day while I was shooting. Instead, I got a GGS protector (the type I had bought for my K-x years ago) and it's been rock solid for me ever since.

Selling here for $7.90 shipped; I "made an offer" for $7.50 and it was accepted. Had to wait a little while to get it (two weeks I think).

Here's a thread from last year that asks the same question as yours.

Thanks. Yeah I read that thread and a couple other ones for K-30. They were all old so thought maybe there were newer/cheaper options. $15 for a protector is a bit much when its kept in a cloth case. My phone has tempered glass and only paid $5 for that. I checked XtremeGuard, which is where I get my phone screen protectors, and they only carry 2 DSLR models of anything. Literally 2 models. 1 Nikon and 1 Canon. Shame.

The link I posted for $15.99; was for both the back and the top LCD. So that price was for two protectors.

So far, mine show no signs of coming lose.

I got the Acmaxx, put it on, and after a while, when I pressed it, I got an airbubble. Pried up the edge and let it out, it got pressed again by accident, and now I just leave the bubble where it is.

For Protecting from scrathes only I have found cheapest lcd protectors (for mobile) working fine, something like 1$ each. Just buy little bigger size than ur camera lcd and use skissors to cut it about right size.

Thanks, I'll do that. wasn't sure how easily they were trimmed but for the price its worth the effort.

For those that are looking for the same thing. XtremeGuard has a 90% off 2 sale going with code SPRING90. buy 2 of anything and get 90% off. Cost me $1.40 for 2 film protectors, dry install, shipped.
