Flucard range booster?

Hey all!

I need to take a photo this weekend of a large group of people with my camera 3 stories up in a building about 150 feet away from where the people will be standing. I also need some on-the-ground photos, so I'm hoping to just set my K3 up in the window and use my K5 on the ground, and be able to take the overview shot with the flucard.

The trouble is, I'm not sure if the flucard has sufficient range to get me that far.

Has anyone tried using a wifi repeater on their flucard and gotten decent results?

Also, has anyone gotten the Flucard to work with Shuttersnitch? On the shutter snitch forum there's some guy who *worked* for the company that makes flucard and says it's possible, but he links to a site that's broken and was never archived, and I can't figure out how.

If your K-3 is inside a building, behind a window, and there are competing wi-fi signals around, you will need a repeater of some kind. It is a low-power wifi device, and really only works well at those distances in direct line-of-sight. I got as far as 100ft in a park with no other signals, but image transfer times were glacial.

The Shuttersnitch website states that their app works with Toshiba FlashAir cards, and that is what the FluCard essentially is. Trek and Toshiba developed the tech together, and branded it in different ways, but the Pentax card might be different. I do know that the Trek apps work with the Pentax Flu Card to auto-download jpegs, but not while the live view is being streamed to another device. Of course, this was all tested with firmware 1.00, and Ricoh has updated it since then...
