I have had a look at the Velbon gear and it looks promising ... I already have a Velbon Sherpa tripod that is excellent ... just not sure if i ready to need to get a macro focussing rail just yet.

Shows the macro slider ... snow shoes for tripods ... a wide mag plate for multiple bodies to be mounted .. etc

The e-bay shop "Link Delight" has a four way one that works for me - possibly it is the one that Peter Zack is referring to as the price is right. The locking screws and the general heft of it make it very heavy duty but does mean no creep with bellows and all attached.
