I'll second that. Sandisk Extreme Pro are the only cards I use in my K-3. All my other cards are also Sandisk and I have never had a problem with that brand,

I use a pair of PNY 32GB Elite Performance 90MB/s cards and they work great. I also have a pair of 16GB Sandisk Extreme Pro rated 45MB/s (older cards) that work well but not as quick.

Like 2 days ago off of amazon. American retail is much cheaper than us up here in the great white north. If I went to staples or best buy up here they're like 90 bucks for the same card. God our dollar sucks lol

For K-3, I'd just get UHS-1

The UHS II U3 may be better, but not K-3 can take advantage of
The Class 10, you can ignore (for best K-3 performance)

"Class 10" is a bit obsolete these days. According to the spec all it means is that the card can write at a minimum of 10mb/s. So most cards today would qualify for that but their actual speed might be much higher, you have no way of telling from the "Class 10" designation. UHS I is also 10mb/s which again tells little. The Extreme Pro line lists reads speeds of 45mb/s, and 95mb/s for their UHS I models and 280mb/s for UHS III but they note that is read speed and say write speed is slower.

So take the class designations with a grain of salt and look at the speed rating as well. But no matter what the Extreme Pro line are solid performers and will work well.

I got the Extreme Pro 95mb/s and it is as good as everyone here says.

My wife had given me a Toshiba FlashAir when I had my Nikon D5100 because it was simple to transfer pictures onto my phone when I wanted to. When I upgraded to the K-3, the file sizes and burst capabilities really slowed things down. Most slowdowns went away after getting the SanDisk. Anecdotally speaking, it felt like write time went from 10 seconds to 3 or so for certain occasions.

So now, I've got SanDisk in slot 1, Toshiba in slot 2, and if I ever want to send something to my phone, I just resize and save to slot 2 and send by wifi. Love having 2 card slots, it's working out well for me!
