Watson replacement batteries

Anyone have any experience with this brand:

Watson D-Li90 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1800mAh) B-3704

I simply want a backup battery, but right now hate to pay double for the Pentax battery. And, yes; I know you get what you pay for, but this would simply be for backup while the Pentax is charging, etc.

Not read any reviews of that, but have heard nothing but good things about Wasabi products:

I have used Watson (B&H store brand) in the past with good luck. They are definitely less money than a genuine Li90. I currently use a pair of Wasabi in rotation with the Pentax Li90 with my K-3. I have had them for over a year and they seem to work as well as the genuine.

At the risk of being branded a Wasabi fan boy, their deal on a 2 battery bundle with travel charger* is pretty hard to pass up. Available on Amazon and also direct from the Blue Nook Web site:

Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Pentax D-LI90

Steve

* The charger they include is quite compact and includes auto DC adapter, but it is of the quick charge type. I use mine for emergency charge only.

Steve, that's a great deal for sure, but I see this company doesn't accept PayPal. I'll have to look elsewhere for this deal.

I use Wasabi's. I find they often hold a charge longer than the original Pentax battery. And, the charger with two bats is worth it.

Amazon.com : Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Pentax D-LI90 and Pentax 645D, 645Z, K-01, K-3, K-5, K-5 II, K-5 IIs, K-7 : Digital Camera Batteries : Camera & Photo

I have no idea whether they accept Paypal or not.

Because the Wasabi battery is 2300mA and the Pentax battery is 1860mA.

I have a Watson replacement battery for my K-50; I keep it charged along with the Pentax OEM battery and I cannot tell the difference between them... they both give me the same number of shots in the camera....

I've been using that battery in my K-01 for quite a while now with no problems. Like the previous poster, I can't tell any difference between the Watson and my Pentax batteries.

I'll add another vote for Wasabi products. I haven't used them in my Pentax camera but I have used them a lot with my Gopro Hero 3 & 4. They are great and I have the above 2 battery package on my wish list for when I finally pull the trigger on a K-3 (II)

Thanks Pepperberry Farm & TaoMaas for posting your experience with the Watson; this definitely convinces me to go with the Watson.

I use Watson as well, nothing but good things to say about it. Gives me more shots than my older Pentax battery...

Out of curiosity, what is making you lean towards the Watson? It's only 1800mAh versus the 2300mAh of the Wasabi which is 22% more juice. Plus for $7 more than the Watson, you actually get two batteries (4600mAh total which is 2.5x the power in the single Watson) as well as a charger that an also be used to charge in your car. I just curious if there is something I'm missing about the Watson that is drawing your attention.
