Ideas for a classy camera strap?

Hey all,

The strap that came with my K-30 is starting to run ragged, and I'd like to replace it with something nice. The problem is I wear my camera is sort of an odd way: it runs from my left shoulder, across my back and around my neck, and hangs on the right side of my hip. Someone recommended their Langly paracord strap, but that ended up being too short; Black Rapid honestly looks ugly in my opinion; Holdfast Gear seems like they might make some nice things, but I'm on the fence about it (anxious about coming across as a hipster, partly). Any creative ideas?

Ah, right! I'm actually using their anchor links with my Pentax strap. Good idea, it also saves me from having to undo a tripod screw.

Edit: I recommend checking out a couple of unboxing videos if you're thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. The colours are...different than they appear on their website.

Second for Peak Design. Most comfy strap I've ever had and great design.
I've bought one for each of my camera bodies.

I can't offer any classy suggestions but I can offer a utility option that is also extra long to wear like you described.

I also wear my cameras that way too. And I can carry even my heavier/bigger cameras like that all day as well. For a utility approach to your camera strap you can get extra long webbing section to put on this Promaster Cushion Strap. Here I adapted them to also carry extra gear such as a battery + SD card, lens cloth, LED light in one case and a 1.25X magnification in the other.

I have a OnaBag Strap, is very nice strap but not as padded as the Optech/BlackRapid, marginally better padded than the Pentax, but it looks good.

Haven't tried them but they look the goods

I saw an ad for Eddycam straps, I haven't tried them but they look classy.

The range at their website is here: https://www.eddycam.com/en/shop/

Here's an article about the straps themselves: Meet Eddycam: The most luxurious camera strap this side of Bavaria

Here's a US Vendor: https://www.digitalback.com/product-category/eddycam/

Here's a cheaper alternative, at an Australian store, not sure of a US vendor: http://mainlinephoto.com.au/artisan-artist-camera-strap-acam-100-woven-cloth...black-leather/

Good luck with the search.

Those are the first products I've seen made out of moose leather (Elchleder).

I absolutely love my OpTech straps. So comfortable and stylish, with many colors & styles to choose from. Been using them for many years.

I agree, not a lot of moose products out there

I assumed they were made in Canada until I visited their website.

Either way they look nice...but not cheap.
