Lens2scope - works very well

I just bought myself a Kenko Lens2scope Pentax K-mount. I have searched the forums and the only mention I found of it was on the marketsplace. I therefore feel I have to mention it here.

First impressions was plastic junk. I then mounted it on my Sigma 150-500mm and it was absolutely useless. I then realised, that the problem was that the lens2scope did not open the apature. I made a little thingy to keep aperture fully open and, wow, a wonderful 15-50X telescope.

I tried this intriguing little product and didn't find it as interesting as I had hoped. I may give it another shot, though. I decided to return it to get an FA31 and didn't want both expenses.

I didn't think about the aperture. That's probably why I couldn't see anything.

I've found that the chromatic corrections found in lenses may offer better results than that with the low and medium priced telescopes/spotting scopes I've compared them with.

And for a similar compact size the camera lens plus adapter beats most economy binoculars for practical magnification in the field. Often brighter too.

If I'm carrying cameras/lenses anyway the adapter conveniently adds a spotting scope capability to the kit with no noticeable weight or bulk.

Oh, yeah, an' don't forget you can use 'em with a 1.4 - 2x TC and short lenses for versatility too.
