SDHC cards & the K20D

I use Scandisk Extreme III cards with my K20D...great cards, fast and no problems. I was wondering if there are other options that maybe slightly cheaper, but comparable to the Extreme III's in speed etc?
I have seen lots of cheaper cards around, but have been told that the Extreme III's are the best for the K20D. Does anyone say otherwise?

I have used Transcend 8GB and 16GB with no issues. They are inexpensive (I just bought a second 16GB for under $60) and even come with a free USB reader for computers whose SD readers won't read HC cards.

Thanks for the reply. Are the Transcend cards as fast as the extreme III? Have you used both cards?

I think you'll definitely notice the difference in speed between the 16GB transcend and sandisk extreme III cards. I have a 2GB one and it writes very fast and plays back images instantaneously where as the transcend has a noticeable delay but not as much as a slow basic sd card (i have this red one also made by sandisk and that things takes forever to write and playback...though still usable)

I have not used the extremes, but the Transcends are rated 6X. So far, I've not run into a situation where the camera was held up waiting for the card.

I owned 3 x 2GB SD cards which were all rated well. After I upgraded to the 4GB Extreme III the write and display speeds are nothing short of AMAZING. Definately stick with the Extreme III.

Stick with the Extreme IIIs. They are simply the best. May be there are cheaper alternatives - but after some trials and errors I decided to stick with Sandisk and don't regret the few extra bucks per card. After all you'll use the card over and over again, so in the long run, price doesn't matter much.
