It will work fine with your K-x and your next camera upgrade
As long as you aren't using big heavy lenses it should be good.

I have this tripod and love it. I have used it with the K-3 and DA*300mm lens, which weighs more than your setup and it works great.

Do you guys/gals think getting the Carbon fibre one is worth the extra money,or is the aluminum one good/strong enough?

I have the aluminum one and it's fine. Can't comment on the carbon fiber.

Thanks loco I believe I have made my choice at Costco they only come in black or titanium, can't wait to get out and try it.

Great tripod. Separates to be a mono pod when needed as well. Nice.
I use it with my K3 with grip and DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135 lenses all the time.
So it handles itself pretty well.

I have the MeFoto Road Trip in titanium. Small, lightweight and rated to 17 lbs. Also converts to monopod. Love it. I don't think you'll be sorry with your choice.
