I was just thinking, if you double stack the 1.4 converters on the 100 macro you'd have pretty much a 200/5.6 2:1 lens (Actually 196/5.6 1.96:1) a way to get a 200 macro on the (reasonably compared to a FA* 200/4 Macro) cheap...
But what would that do to IQ?

Check Norm's post about stacking the 1.4x and 1.7x TCs on his 200mm f/2.8. Did not look too bad. But it would not be as cool looking as a real 200mm macro

Yes I saw that, quite good actually. And if the 1.4 is sharper than the 1.7, and the 100 macro sharper than the 200... It would be pretty good.
Now does anyone have 2 HD 1.4x RC, a DFA 100/2.8 Macro and a FA* 200/4 Macro to compare?
