Rayovac Hybrid batteries

Teja had $5 off coupons and i got 3 of them. Wallyworld had them for 4 @ 8.95. i picked up 3 sets for $12.89 after tax. i've seen good reviews on the eneloops and we will see how these are.
straight out of the box and the batt. alert says 100% and i'm starting from image 3133.
unfortunately i can find no date on the packages.

edit: battery plus had these at 14.99usd. glad i checked wallyworld 1st.

Any update on these? I'm thinking of picking up a couple sets for the camera and some flashes (Vivitar 285HVs).

Put a set of Hybrid in my DL about three weeks ago, and have gone 450 RAW shots and the batteries are still full charge.

Roy these came straight off the Walmart shelf and into the camera. I would say they may not last to much longer but they have lasted longer then my regular rechargeables. I bought two packs and will be butting in the second pack and seeing how these recharge So far they really have my attention.
I don't think paying $8.95 USD for a set of 4 has been a bad idea.

To tell you the truth Roy, Not only do they have my attention I bought 4 more 4 packs at wallmart today and I also picked up a 4pack of eneloops to see if I get better results. I hit 520 shots today (and I always shoot RAW) and the camera is showing the batteries at 1/2 So I'm going to put a set of eneloops in and see how they react. I will put the hybrid in a 6 hr. charger and then test them again. but until the time I need batteries again (about a year from now at this rate ) I'm hoping to get about the same amount of shots from both out of the pack.

When I go on the spring NE. forum members shoot I have 24 brand new batteries ready to go that I don't have to worry about and some where around 8 gig in six cards and will be getting at least another 4gig in SD cards. So we'll see if one set of batteries will last for a forum shoot. the last shoot (Gettysburg) I shot 3gig and used 3 sets of nimh 2500MAH (I get anywhere from 186 to 195 RAW files per gig depending on the Card).

Needless to say I really like these batteries.

I think you're close to around what I'm getting with my Juice CRV3 lithium rechargeables. I asked Teja about the coupons and he is out of the country at the moment but he'll contact me when he returns. Just in case anyone else contacts him and he is slow to respond.

These sound good though but I don't think the camera can accurately judge the remaining capacity of lithium batteries. It goes basically like 100% for a long time then bam. It falls over and it's all done. Maybe down one bar first but the drop off is very very quick.

Sony now has their version of Eneloops for sale. They are called Cycle. Since many Sony AA rechargeables are made by Sanyo, I am guessing these will be too. The more the merrier . All these batts kill normal nimh in cameras.
thanks

that's the truth. i went out and shot a little over 100 shoots today. battery level finally went to 1/2 full. so far these have been in the camera since 2/12 and shot 534 shots and there are more to come. i'm really convinced.

Hay Roy,
Just to let you know this past Saturday was the Phila. Flower show. I checked my batteries before I went to the show and they were fully charged. I had 540 shots on those batteries so I wanted to check what the camera had to say before I left home without any (I never do this any how I had 8 more brand new Hybrid in my case ready to go) I got to the show and shot 5gb of Raw files some where around 490 pics. So thats 1030 shots so far and the batteries still show full charge.

I would say the new hybrid are worth the $8.95 USD at Wal_Mart And just think I have two more sets to use while I charge one set. Needless to say I'm vry pleased with these batteries and would recommend them and the Eneloope to anyone needing a good set of batteries.
