How goes the project?

Don
Hi Don,

I still haven't started but I finally received the lead screw and adjustment knob on Monday. Probably tomorrow or Friday I'll start the cutting. Wish me luck.

Lay things out carefully and you won't have to shim and use spacers like I did.

Even at that, with my time with it so far, I have found it remarkably rigid and stable.

Good luck!

Don

I got all of my parts for this project together this morning, made a list, and then went shopping for a few odds and ends. The final missing piece from my list? The clipboard/material for the base. *sigh* I ended up going to three different places in an attempt to score plexiglass or masonite or something not terribly expensive and heavy but am still empty handed. I should have googled before I left the house.

Office Depot or Staples. $1.99. And you have a clip left over that you probably won't do anything with. The nice thing about a clipboard is that it is smooth on both sides.

Thanks, Don. After my whine I ended up at Staples and got their $2.49 special.
