They should send you at least a discount coupon. Due to your post bringing them to my attention I just bought three of them.

An' there's those l'il elastic, plastic baggies used to cover open food containers -- look like tiny shower caps for givin' your cat a bath. Six for $1.29. The ones with flowers printed on 'em look kinda cute. And then there's beer can cozies with logos . . . those an' homemade cardboard hoods drive the proper-gear-only fashion police right up the wall.

I don't have any long lenses for which these seem most suited,
but I do own a couple of Op Tech camera neoprene soft pouches.
They are a good product and reasonably priced.

Chris, I think they are suited for most lenses with hoods, not just long lenses. I have one on my 18-55WR, and am now purchasing one for my newly acquired Tamron 10-24. As I had mentioned, these hoods protect the lens hood, and eliminates the struggle of using the lens cap with the hood attached.

Over 90% of their products are made right here on site at their business in Montana. That's rare to find a product made locally in the USA!

This is true! I put a hood on the standard zoom for my Q and I use a tiny Hood Hat on it.

If the durability of OP/TECH's straps are any indication, their products are a real bargain.

I love OP/TECH's straps. I have the 3/8" webbing connectors on my K-3 and K-3II, the Super Pro connectors on my Hasselblad, and I swap the Pro neck/shoulder pad between them as needed, using Secure-Its velcro loops to mitigate the risk of connectors un-clipping. I also have the SLR Wrist Strap on my K-5 permanently. I'll probably pick up another complete Pro strap setup to get the webbing connectors for my Canon EOS-5, and a second neck/shoulder pad.

I still have my BlackRapid Curve RS-7 sling which I use occasionally, but quite rarely since I switched over to OP/TECH

Mack, there's DIY resources for that stuff.

e.g., 10pcs New 3 8" Flat Side Release Buckles Black Webbing Straps for Paracord L5YS | eBay

I mainly use short fixed focal length lenses, usually 100mm or less.
The hoods for these are typically not very deep.
I usually remove or reverse them between shots, so "hood hats" aren't necessary.
The odd time I don't a center-pinch lens cap can be used easily and provides ample protection.

I don't care for neoprene straps either.
IMO there's nothing worse than a heavy camera bouncing against your chest as you walk...

Each has to use what works best for them. I won't have anything but a neoprene strap (OpTech), as others cut into my neck and are very uncomfortable.
