Thanks for the reply; they certainly make attaching straps, etc., much easier; and they are definitely sturdy!

Going to pick a couple up!

If you have a K-5 or K-3 family you may not need an extra ring since you can use the triangular rings already on the camera. If you do get a ring, I think you can also get small leather protectors like the ones with the default triangular rings already on the K-5 and K-3 cameras. I read this thread with great interest since I was looking for a new strap to replace the standard issue Pentax straps. Every strap has its pros and cons. I want a strap that is strong enough for my K-5 and K-3 heaviest combination which is with the battery grip and DA* 200 mounted, but small enough that it will not full up my camera bag. I was entertaining the idea of combining a shoulder or sling strap with a hand strap but eliminated that idea since I want to freely be able to use the D BG4 and D BG5 grips whenever I want. My strap choice went to the Domke 1.5 inch gripper strap with swivel. It is a strong strap at a very reasonable price, very well made with a cotton strap with rubber gripping on one side and smooth on the other. I am hoping this reasonably priced USA made strap will be what I need.

Just received my Peak Design Slide strap! This is first-class all the way! I love how easy it is to attach/remove the anchors, to change where you wish to attach the strap. It's extremely well made, and is very heavy duty; but still extremely comfortable. Only complaint I have is I can't adjust the strap smaller/higher as it hits the padded shoulder part. Since I am short, the camera hangs lower that I'm used to, but I'm sure I'll get adjusted to that.

well I still say ----

YMMV and my opinion and $ will buy coffee at the diner

in other words, good luck to all and please keep us posted as to how things work out. I am sure that many different styles and products can work for different people so there is no right choice.

That's exactly what I was trying to do. I wasn't pushing my choice on others, simply saying what pleased me about this product.

I make no money from them

I haven't tried these particular slings

but

Double Sling | OP/TECH USA

Dual Harness | OP/TECH USA

if I was going to try to carry two cameras at once, I would be tempted to try the second one out

Not by themselves, but Peak sells a kit that lets you use their quick release anchors with other systems, maybe try that?

If I shot events more often, I'd probably look into that, the Op-Tech thing looks comfy, and a whole lot cheaper than the Holdfast Gear solution (however gorgeous a leather holster would be).

You could use one strap and one Capture Clip. Or two Capture Clips. Or two straps at different lengths.

Op/Tech do not use the circular clips that Peak Design invented, but they do use the more standard clips that you can find almost everywhere. They are another kind of quick-release, just as effective (if not as elegant).
