I used the postman shoulder pad for my F-2 for a few years, but even though everyone raves about the shoulder pad, I found three things that were very annoying about it: 1) after two years the foam started to shred. 2) it doesn't work if you use the strap cross-body, and 3) it's heavy. So, I just bought a few pads, and I settled on the Pro Tec Deluxe Neoprene Shoulder Strap Pad:

Indeed, I've had an F-2 for quite some time. I wanted some additional padding, and I don't like the Domke inserts, but I found the Ciesta insert which is actually made for the F-2. It makes the bag much more useful.
