I'm looking for a mini pod also, what about this one? Or do I need one that will hold more weight?

I'm surprised TBA has not yet been recognised along with BBA for bags.
I think we should just be honest with ourselves and call the whole syndrome Gear Lust.

At the end of the month or beginning of October I will buy the SLIK SPRINT PRO. Later on, I will buy a better ball head. I prefer the Slik because you can use it also as a full tripod (even if it does get as tall as I would like), so it's like a 2 in 1.

Also have a look at the Benbo products.

Unique action in operation, waterproof inverted legs, low gound level use and the MkII legs extend for very very tall people.

ProMaster SystemPro Clamp, US $69.99

Swiss army knife of tripods. Use it as a table top tripod or clamp it on virtually anything thanks to its two extremely versatile clamp legs.

Works on flat surfaces, thin surfaces, round surfaces, you name it. It's the perfect problem solver to have in your camera bag.

* Heavy duty steel construction
* Rugged clamping mechanism with multiple rubber grips Flexible ball head or 1/4" mounting screw to use your own head
Thank you
Russell

It does look like it cannot hold heavy equipment at all... who knows, I might be wrong.
