I have 2 remotes.

The Pentax Waterproof Wireless has a notch in one corner. I threaded a thin metal keyring through that. That lets me attach the remote to a carabiner, backpack strap, or zipper pull. Velcro might let the remote get pulled off and lost if I brush against something while walking.

My other remote is a wired intervalometer for long exposures. That stays in my camera bag until use. I loop the cord around the tripod to take up slack. I use this a lot less often because the K-1 lets me pick shutter times beyond 30 seconds.

Do you have a cell phone? I use the DSLR remote app I downloaded for free. Works like a charm. Of course your cell phone has to have IR capability. My Samsung Galaxy S6 does.
I do have a cell phone, but don't know if it has IR capability. I have no service here, just carry the phone when I go to town, in case I need assistance.

My neighbor just brought your package in, and I tried to PM you to thank you, but again, cannot send a PM. So wanted to thank you here in the forums for your kindness!
