Was wondering, would those work for my k-1? Read somewhere there are two versions of this battery? Something about 3 contacts and 4, Amazon doesn't have a photo of the contacts, and k-1 is not mentioned in compatibility section.

Four contacts? The original equipment Li90 has three contacts as does the Wasabi replacement.

Here are the summary points:
  • The battery of record for the K-1 is the D-Li90*, the same battery as spec'd for the K-7, K-5, K-5II, K-5IIs, K-01, K-3, K-3II, 645D, and 645Z. It is 7.2V rated for 1860mAh and has three contacts.
  • The battery currently stocked at B&H and other vendors is the D-Li90(E). Like the D-Li90, it is also 7.2V rated for 1860mAh and has three contacts. It differs from the non-E version in that it meets EU standards for rechargeable lithium ion batteries and supercedes the non-E version.
  • Both batteries take the same D-BC90 charger (supports 3 contacts).
  • Rumors of a 4-contact battery for the K-1 are inaccurate.
  • The Wasabi equivalent model (your link) are 7.2V rated for 2300mAh and have 3 contacts. The 2300mAh rating means that they higher capacity than the stock battery. The rapid charger that is sometimes bundled with the Wasabi batteries only has two contacts and is not recommended for regular use with either the OEM or Wasabi product.
I have been using the Wasabi equivalent for D-Li90 for three years on my K-3 with no problems.
