BetterBatt K-3 Grip

Anyone tried the Betterbatt K-3 grip?

Pentax K-3 Battery Grip

Pentax Battery Grip

Worth it or rubbish?

Looks identical to the no-name Chinese one I got off eBay with a pair of DSTE batteries for about similar price.
It works. For that price, you can't ask much more. It's not WR, it feels quite plasticy, the on/off button is very vague...but it works.
On the basis that, at the time, my options were either this or no grip at all, then yes, worth it. If I had the option, I would of course have prefered the Pentax and I will get one when this one inevitably breaks.

FWIW, I've bought some BetterBatt batteries (for mobile, plus camera), but no grips.

They are good sellers, and the batteries have been good quality. So their grips should be OK too. Not the same quality as an original Pentax battery grip, to be sure, but no doubt they will do the job.

There are two types out there. The lesser expensive ones usually do not have the seals around the contacts, meaning no wr. If you look closely at this one it does so it will have some wr to it. They are not as robustly built as the Pentax but they do work well. I have one I have had now for a couple of years on my K5 lls. On my k3 ll I use the Pentax one..

No worries, thanks for the information. I also have a BetterBatt battery for my cameras, it is ok but not quite as good as the Pentax batteries, however it is way cheaper.
