A point. Smooth plastic can be a concern. Many ways to enhance the structural joint. Roughened surfaces, drilled 'post holes', epoxy reinforced wrap, . . . I've never experienced a failure with properly prepared surfaces.
My perspective may be warped since I am dealing with very high stress forces often. You cannot adequately bond plastic with epoxy in Rocketry. You can use plastic welder and other options but MOST (not all) plastics are just not compatible with epoxy when you are talking rockets.

In Australia, we often experience drastic changes in temperature, in a 12hr period we can shift 20 degrees Celsius easily, 0-20, or 20-40 and everywhere inbetween (and of course back down again to original 'starting' temperature). What I have noticed is that any product that relies on adhesiveness (including SuperGlue) doesn't last for ever, heck.. things can start to come away from even 12-24months! I don't quite fancy my odds of sticking two regular lens caps together, when sitting at the end of one lens cap could be a heavish $700 lens that could potentially come away and crash to the floor!

Perhaps other countries with less massive shifts in temperature glues and other products can stand the test of time, but here in Australia I just no longer trust adhesive solutions to a lot of my DIY shenanigans.

I have their camera clips and love them.

They do not YET have the Pentax Lens Adaptor - but they are seriously thinking of it.

My reply this morning (from Adam Hicks);

"Thank you for getting in touch, we have noted good levels of interest in the Lens Clip, however, it appears the Pentax K Mount community is significantly under-represented.

Having said that, our Hardware Engineers are currently busy developing other projects and there is no intention to increase the range at this time.

Your interest however has been noted.

Have a great day!

Adam"

So doesn't look like they'll support it anytime soon.
