Bag & Straps

Hey,

I have a K1, 24-70, 100Macro, & 70-200 & flash. Tried using my old camera pack and can't fit it all inside.

Can anybody recommend a good backpack or sling that can carry all of this kit, as well as a full-size tripod?

I'm a pretty tall and strong guy, just need something that can keep the gear at hand for hiking/travel.

thanks

Try the Lowepro Slingshot 202 or 302. Both should work, but for a guarantee of fitting everything, the 302 will certainly do it!

Unbelievably, the Lowepro Slingshot 202 and 302 have been dropped, and are no longer available. And Lowepro's "replacements" are weak; useless little things for mirrorless or small DSLR kits.

By the way, the OP's kit would not fit in the 202AW. I have it; it's excellent for an APS-C kit. I tried to buy a 302AW for my K1 + DFA 70-200 + DFA 15-30 + DFA 28-105, but just missed out on the last one at B&H. You may be lucky and find one on eBay.

Clik Elite has very good backpacks Backpacks Archives - Adventure Photography Camera Bags by Clik Elite

I think for your needs the luminous or stratus would be a good choice. The countrejour might be too big for your needs.

Also F-stop has very good backpacks, and so does mindshift.

MindShift Gear - Outdoor Camera Bags, Camera Backpacks, Photo Gear

these three brands really gear towards the adventurous photographers. It is just to personal preferences which some one chooses, as they all have their pro's and con's

There are so many choices! It's hard to pick one without knowing more about your needs.

Do you hike? Walk around a lot? In the city? On trails? Do you want to switch lenses often? Rarely? Under rain or during sunny days? Will you carry your bag while shooting, or simply use it to carry your equipment on location? Do you need room for a jacket? Snacks?

I'll be able to help you out a bit more after getting a better feel for your needs.
