seemingly trivial Pentax LI90 battery question

Given two LI90 Pentax-brand OEM batteries, will the one with the higher number (printed in the silver box on the label) be the newer or older battery? There are several years difference in my batteries, but I don't know which is which. Or is it not possible to know (now)? Thanks.

Serial numbers are often not sequential. Are you able to tell by the wear on thr casing or contacts?

Don't the D-LI90's have dates on the underside? The one currently in my K-1 reads 201012, whic I interpret to mean manufactured 2010 December (12)

The batteries are very equally worn. I don't know how to decode the date if that's what it is: example SBCC. One is a K5 generation, other is K5ii.

All of my Pentax LI90 batteries have a date on the back. It is in the form "201502" or "yyyymm"

Since the issue, I assume, is which battery is "better", just charge them both fully and measure the attained voltage. If similar, put them in camera for some equal amount of time/duty and again measure. The cream should rise to the top.
