I know! It won't be like that. Soon you all know. Take it from someone who see on the inside

For my DSLR bodies...all Pentax BTW...I've used only SanDisk and Lexar. I had one card that died early, first time I used it and that was a SanDisk. It was replaced quickly. All my SanDisk and Lexar cards , except the one mentioned have been trouble free and great, so far.

About 3 months before Lexar dropped out of the market, I purchased a Lexar Car Reader. So far it has been good with my Pentax and Canon gear.

Too bad about Lexar, I've always liked their stuff.

The Lexar name has been bought by another company, Longsys. See press release. Longsys Acquires Lexar Brand, a Leading Brand for High-Performance Removable Storage Solutions – Longsys
This does not mean that Lexar continues as a company. The press release clearly states that Longsys has purchased the brand. There's no indication from the press release that they have also purchased the manufacturing side of the business. Could be wrong, of course - happy to be corrected.

Like Kenspo said, the company that now owns Lexar is still going to be producing memory cards under the Lexar name and will still stand behind the products/warrenty's.
