k10d Grip

Hi I just got the grip for the k10d and was wondering if it would be possible to use the af button when shooting horizontal, and by using the shutter when shooting vertical. I disabled the af focus by halfway when shooting vertical and only use the af button, but when shooting vertical it's really hard to reach so I don't have much choice. Is it possible to keep it disabled when shooting horizontal, but on when vertical?

In a word: nope.

Someone, IMVHO, wasn't thinking when they designed either the grip or the firmware on that one.

We could sure use a firmware update to add this feature. Anyways, i just have to really stick out my right thumb and hit the AF button.
