These things stay in the back of my Yukon so they are available when I need them.
These two items I've 'solved' in one with off-cuts of rubberised fish pond linings. They are cushioned enough, roll up, flexible, and robust. They give me options when kneeling, lying down (depending on size) and also useful for lens changes sometimes.
