Possible to copy from k20d to external hard drive directly

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is an easy way to plug the k20d into an external hard drive via usb and just copy the files over? If not that would be a lovely feature pentax!

I know about those portable storage systems with the display and interface, but I've already got an external hard drive I've using for normal computing that I'm planning on taking on vacation for 3 weeks.

If not the easiest way is probably just to hit up an internet cafe and use a pc? Any other suggestions?

Oooo I've never thought of that. Would be quite convenient and save time to write DVDs (my comp isn't up at the moment).

check out the Venus GoGo. Yes, I know it's a lousy name. But it does exactly what you ask for. It even has a built in lithium battery to power it up.

Amazon has it for 50$ here:
Amazon.com: AMS Venus GoGo DE-211GU - Storage enclosure - IDE - Hi-Speed USB - silver: Electronics

I bought mine at Frys for $30.

Frank.

Some mp3 players actually have a usb host function built into them, so with the right cables you can plug your mp3 player into the k20d and transfer files from your mem card to your mp3 player. I think this is probably one of the smallest options. There are also other devices where you take the memory card and plug that into the device and it will back up your files.
