Source for AA battery tray for D-BG5....

I got a used D-BG5 for my new Pentax K3-II and didn't realize the used version I got only came with one battery holder.

The chances of me needing to run the camera off AA's are slim, but still want to be able to do that if I had to.

Anyone know of a part number or contact number at pentax where I might be able to get just the AA insert?

If can't I may just have to return it to KEH, but want to try an locate one first.

Any suggestions on finding one of these appreciated....

My suggestion would be to post a wanted ad here on the forum. Perhaps someone who doesn't use AA's at all will bite

The other option would be to call Precision to see if they can get you one.

This ^ ^ ^

The battery holders were included with the grip when new and should have been part of deal unless specifically noted by KEH as missing. FWIW, the grip for your camera is the D-BG5, though, the D-BG4 can be munged to fit with some reported compromises for functionality.

D-BG4 grip can work on the K-3. - PentaxForums.com

Better, in my opinion, to get the grip that fits. They are fussy enough without throwing in cross-model incompatibilities.

Might want to check on eBay too. You might also contact KEH. Maybe they can come up with one to sell you if it means they won’t lose the sale.

KEH should simply trade him for the other one grip (hopefully complete with holders) they have in stock.
