3D printable grips for LX and 6x7

I've been reading the reviews here for a long time, safe to say I've bought way too many Pentax bodies and lenses thanks to this place..

I designed printable grips for my LX and 6x7, I'm pleased with them, they fit my hand nicely and fit snuggly to the camera bodies.

Take a look here..

If you have a printer then try them out, if not but you want one then message me and we can work something out!

Interesting! You are not afraid of putting a screw into LX?

???? All LX grips use a screw at the bottom and a lug at the top. That's normal.

Thanks! Never looked at a grip before, and honestly can't remember if there is a screw in the body. I guess there must be!

Welcome to the Pentax Forums!

Cool! Once you get marketplace access, you should offer them.

Thanks for the comments!

Once I get some black filament I'll see how it looks.. The 'wood' finish is nice, and it can be sanded to be much smoother than the normal plastic surface. Best thing would be a proper wood grain finish.. I.e. actual wood

If you pull up an LX manual you will see that the bottom of the front of the camera on that side has a machine screw socket in it. Also the grip pictures I shared show the screw clearly in some of them. I personally had to go back and think about it - my Dad worked for Pentax in the hey day of the LX and I held quite a few of them but I rarely took the grip on or off.

Yeah there's a nice threaded insert in the body just for attaching the grip, it's even a standard size! It's much easier than on the 6x7.

Never noticed it on my LX, and I use it quite a bit. I guess it shows I look through it more than at it (OK, I am just trying to find an excuse)

Actually quite a good excuse - take pictures - not worship gear - it should be a required mantra for photographers.
