LCD cover-available/cost ?

I have a K10D. I recently was checking out the Delkin LCD protector on their website. It seems like a good idea. A plastic hooded cover to shade the LCD from the sun and a good protective cover for your LCD.

I don't know how expensive an LCD would be to replace, but I wouldn't want to have to do it.

Delkin doesn't seem to offer a LCD protector for the K10D.

Know any companies that do, that have their products available in Canada ?

might help: i got an LCD protector from ebay for about $10 shipped for my K20. It came with 2 pieces, one for the rear LCD and the top LCD.

it's just a pretty-much-scratch-proof screen protector, not the rigid hard plastic type of nikon. but my LCD ain't getting scratched

I've tried a good number of them for different electronics. Best Skins Ever is by far the strongest, but the clarity isn't that good and they're a real pain to remove. So my vote for the best would be Expert Shield. Their protectors are really thin and don't make it hard to view the screen. They are also sized really well, the only one that didn't fit was the psp one that I bought from them.

I think Giottos makes the best screen saver on the market. It's a little expensive, but not as much as replacing the screen. I had a blog about it a while back if you care to look. Pentax DSLRs: Ultimate DSLR LCD monitor “Screen protector”

Yeah, I want one of the Giottos for my K200D, but it has a larger screen then the K100/K10, not sure what model would fit it.

Edit, k10dbook, I just noticed from your blog you got it for your K20D & K200D...what model number was it?

Edit #2...looking at one the pics it looks like its model #SP8270. Correct?

Thanks!

If you go on www.bhphoto.com you can order to fit the screen of most cameras. In the case of the K200D, it's of course 2.7"

I really like mine.

Actually the standard 2 1/2 inch Delkin fits perfectly on the k10d. I have one on each of my k10d.

I have Invisible Shields and cannot recommend them enough. Strong and crystal to look through with no glare.

I'll second the Invisible Shields. I have it on my K10 and it works great, very clear.
