Santa brought us a Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printer V2 for Christmas. Among all the other widgets we've been printing I've made a small handful of photography-related things. A few custom aperture plates for my Lomography Daguerreotype Achromat f/2.9, and some new hotshoe covers to replace lost ones.

Sure, no problem. I've never posted anything on the Thingiverse, but I'll figure out how to do that.

The overlap in Venn diagrams of Lomography Daguerreotype Achromat Lens Owners and 3D Printer Owners has to be huuuge.

Aperture plates are up on Thingiverse here. Currently there are the following plates: Blank, Pentax, Virginia Tech, Tottenham Hotspur, Heptagon, and Gear.

I have a couple test shots here.

I need to print the PENTAX logo plate, but I'm skeptical of how that's going to work out. It's a pretty small equivalent aperture with much of the center area of the lens obscured, so photos will probably be blurry with poorly-defined bokeh.

Also... in the queue is figuring out the right size and printing a Bahitnov mask for the 55-300 PLM to help with moon/astrophotography.

I thought I posted this here before but I guess I didn't. I'm designing a lens hood for the Sigma 50-500mm OS HSM for APS-C sensors that I use on my K-3III. Going to get it 3D printed.

It's not Pentax related and the included accessories of the lens includes the Hood Adapter HA1030-01 738.
