D-BG4 question

Hello,
I'm looking at purchasing the D-BG4 battery grip for my K5 but have read conflicting reports regarding an SD card tray. Is there in fact room for a memory card in this grip, or are there compartments only for a lithium battery and the double As?
Thanks!

There is an AA tray and a D-Li90 tray. The latter has room to store a card. New, the grip would come with both trays.

Even the 3rd party grips come with both trays and a spot for a spare SD card.

Bear in mind, that spare card holder isn't "live," so it can't be used actively to expand the card access within the camera. It is only a holder. The card has to be swapped into the camera card slot to be usable.

I should add that if you shoot a significant number of portrait shots in one session or a single event it’s worth every penny in reduced hand and arm fatigue.

Plus it makes the camera look bigger, which some people view as more “professional.”

Nearly as much as when they ask if I'm a professional - when I have a large lens mounted on the front.
