Cut a Pentax body to get grip (for KP)

I am not sure on what part of the forum this question should be, here it is :

Has anyone already cut, saw, a Pentax DSLR body ?
Ideally, I would like to have the same grip than the K30 on my KP, but cutting another body grip may not be the easiest solution ! ^^

I would go for some 3D printing service instead of cutting a grip from another body.

You won't access the front dial with the K-30 grip and it would be some engineering to fix it in place too, so I think it's not an ideal combination. I've get used to my KP in some weeks after my K-30 which were much comfortable, although the KP has much better control set.

Another option is to mold your own grip from plumber's putty epoxy. With moldable putty, you can make the grip any shape you want including indentations perfectly spaced for your fingers.

Yes, a solution could be to mold a good grip (before modifications for the KP and his front dial),

the advantage of "cutting" another grip (and work endlessly on it to make it fit) is that you keep the better texture (and look... well if you haven't completely ripped it ^^) of the grip, not just hard plastic or "resin".
