It's Here Lowepro Protactic 450

Ken and Geordie well done this is the bag for me. It will fit my K1 mkii with the grip but I still had to spend some time arranging things. It does hold my current gear and some room (well a lot actually) for the future. I got overnight free shipping from amazon delivered to my local post office in Ontario ? Wow great service, guys. After some helpful advice and some thought I have reconfigured my 450 that to me makes more sense.

Congratulations on your new backpack. I own and love it as well. It’s always interesting to see how people configure the inside. I think I’ve spent hours trying to figure out what layout fits my needs best. I read your other post and thought you wanted to access the camera from top? That’s the way I configured it after using bottom side access for a while like you and found out that top access works much better for me. I use K-1 with a modified 60-250 F4 most of the time.

One important thing to note and one thing that made people write bad reviews about this bag because they didn’t get it is that it’s really important how you put the small dividers into your configuration. The Velcro tabs have to point upwards not downwards (like in your setup). Otherwise gravity will pull down on the divider if there is something heavy like a lens in that pocket.

Alpheios, thanks for the tip on the tabs. I did originally want the access from the top, but after I set the bag on the passenger seat of my van it was not that easy to get the camera out. The bag was siitting the opposite way it is in the photo with the top facing the windshield. The way I have it now, I just leave the whole thing open and access the camera. It seems to be the grip makes it just that to big for the top access port of the bag.

However, after having said all that, I could be doing it wrong. I am still working out how best to use it, but it is great so far.
