Small walk around bag/sling

Any suggestions on a small back or sling for holding just the camera and mounted lens? This would be occasions where photography is not the primary focus. Just a small body (kp or ks2) and a mounted 18-135mm or possibly 16-85mm. It would be for quick, spur of the moment type shots. The bag I have now holds the body and mounted lens, plus two other compartments (for lens and/or flash) and pockets. It also has the double zipper which is mildly annoying. I would like something more minimalistic and simple.

I have the 10L Sling bag by Peak Design. It works perfect. I keep my K-70 with 18-135mm attached in the bag with spare batteries. When I am traveling, I also carry my iPad in it as well.

If I just want to carry only my camera with attached lens I use a "Think Tank Photo*Digital Holster 20." I put an extra battery & SD card in my pocket. If I am wearing my vest then a small limited lens will be fit in my vest pocket.

I went with this Think Tank Photo TurnStyle 10 V2.0 Sling Camera Bag 710462 B&H (version 1)
I like the ergonomics and materials, but the padding is weak, I added some extra from older bags.
My favourite setup is KP and the 5 limiteds,a kp with18-135, 55-300 10-17 fits, but very tight, and you can't closet with da 55-300 on.

(version2 is a good update).

I have the v1 TurnStyle 20, and although it's the larger version, I can at least vouch for the quality of the bags. I bought mine used, about 2 years ago, and it still hasn't shown any signs of wear in any critical ways, even in the plastic clip. It's more economical than it is fancy, but it's a good value, and the v2s are presumably better. There's also a TurnStyle 5 which might be even closer to what's being asked for.

Though I have to say that if I needed to replace the bag, I would go with a Domke bag.

I use a holster type bag for a compact grab and go setup. Mine also has an optional waste belt that I can attach holders to. I'd provide a link, but it's a Tamrac bag from the mid 90's that is no longer available, but others have similar designs.

I have a ThinkTank Turnstyle 5 and a 10. Right now I have the five with a KP with DA20-40 mounted, and also the DA 15 and F 50/1.7. With the 10 I usually have the KP with 55-300 PLM, 18-135 or Tamron 90 macro and a small prime or two. Of course both have a little space for batteries, filters, etc. Very well designed bags to use.

I use a military surplus harvest sack or shoulder bag into which I put the padded pouch from an old camera bag. It can hold my camera & lens and a second lens as well as misc. stuff. The advantage for me is that it doesn't look like a camera or computer bag so it is less of a target when I'm wandering the streets somewhere.

I do something similar using a surplus bag.

OTOH, I just received this $14 Caden bag that holds my KP or wife's K-S2 with a lens attached plus another (18-135 plus 55-300plm). Or it will hold one body and a telephoto with hood attached. There's room for a few other bits, but not much. The padding is thick and material is water resistant, which is what I wanted.

I like the Domke F803. Just the right size, not too much padding. Good for what you describe.

For the tiny size you wish for I'd take a look at the 5L version of Peak Design's Sling bag. Their 10L is one of my two go-to slings (with the Mindshift Gear Photocross 13) but you ask for small, so I suggest the 5L.

My favorite small carry is a Domke F-5XC. It's a small and easily configurable shoulder bag It's perfect for camera and an extra lens or two.

If I just want to carry one lens on my KP I use a "Think Tank Photo*Digital Holster 20 V2.0"
Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 20 V2.0 (Black) 710866 B&H

This works with my KP, prior bodies and with limited lenses up to 70-200mm.
