That is plain and simply not true. I'm in Western Canada and can buy them from a number of locations including my local camera store.

You're right saying Henry's have it but I checked at Vistek and Amazon and no OEM there. Sorry for the fact that my infos were not exact but I was of good faith.

Try The Camera Store or Don's Photo.

I’m not sure whether the D-LI78 I purchased from a Japanese merchant via eBay is counterfeit or not.
It looks different from the one that came with my camera - but I don’t know what the legitimate ones sold in Japan look like.
In any case, it works well, so I can’t see complaining about it.
