Oly has a spring loaded button on the lens to stop it down for dof preview. Can't the button be held in while taking a picture? Or does the mount somehow interfere?

Thanks,
barondla

exactly - that's what I did with the lenses while using the Adaptist mount...

otherwise, they are wide open no matter what the aperture ring reads....

Yes, a few quirks with OM lenses, but they are so good optically and ergonomically, aren't they? I have mine adapted to Sony (full frame and crop) and they all deliver stunning photographs. The only problem is with the 135mm on the OM-NEX adapter, it does not close down to f22, but f16 is good enough for me.

they are great lenses - I only have the 24/2.8 and the 50/1.4 so far, but both are amazingly small and sharp (the 50/1.4 is a jewel)...

I want at least two more OM lenses - the 50mm macro and the 100mm. Oh, and probably the same as you have. And maybe the 200mm (I nearly had one but beaten by a late bid).

The OM system was my main system for years. Have lots of cool glass including: 20 F2 macro, 21 F3.5, 24 F2, 24 shift, 35 F2, 55 F1.2, 80 F4 macro, 100 F2, 135 F 4.5 macro, 180 F2.8, 180 F2, 350 F2.8 & 1.4 teleconverter. Also have the official OM system binder with info on every piece. I was devastated when Olympus introduced the tiny 4/3 sensor concept. I tried many 4/3 DSLRs ( E-1 on up) And one micro 4/3. Great camera's, but limited use with a lot of these lenses.

I was excited about the Adaptist, but it still only gives crop land entry to the OM glass. Perhaps a FF Sony mirror less body with OM adapter someday. Not sure how much I'd use it. Even the K-1 is mostly sitting after getting the 645Z
Thanks,
barondla

I think I'll try to get my hands on one of these adaptors for my K1. I'm not too bothered by lack of infinite focus.
