Does anyone know where I can find the Pentax GPS?

It would appear that Pentax has discontinued the current GPS and has a version 2 on the way. It won’t be available until 2022 due to supply chain issues. I really don’t want to wait.
Does anyone know where I can find a version 1? I won’t use eBay.

I got burned hard on eBay. It really stinks but I swore them off. They are not secure.

I tried that, ordered one through Optics Planet only to get a message a few days later saying it would not ship until December or January. Seeing that Ricoh’s site says it is discontinued it is highly unlikely retailers will see any more version 1’s. I was hoping someone here may know of a local shop somewhere that has one in stock.

I recently had a (my first, out of 400 or more transactions) bad experience on eBay (a camera that was returned to me that was not functioning and had clearly (to me!!) suffered an extreme impact of some sort (it was reshipped after it left me), but went out in excellent condition), but they worked it out - both me and the buyer got refunds/made whole). Maybe you should try there again (they do want to keep their reputation!).

KEH, UsedPhotoPro (Roberts Camera), and other stores (online or otherwise) that deal in used gear or which have access to NOS (new old stock). With luck, your search will not continue until the replacement launches.

If you ever get stuck, ipunless you are using it for Astro photography, you can use any GPX to log your location and a program like GeoSetter to tag your photos
