By the way, I've never hard a plate loosen except once with a heavy lens used vertically.
Exceedingly lucky man. You should regularly play the lottery.

I have them with a K3ii and battery grip and 300mm F4 for birding. It hangs on my left side. After several years, no problem at all.

Has anytime used loctite blue 242 threadlocker on their tripod socket plates? I have been considering doing that.

I've used 242 on a number of screws, and would not hesitate using it on the 1/4-20 tripod plate screw. It's not difficult to remove the screw later, if that's your concern.

That and how good it works to avoid a plate unscrewing unintentionally?

Not there, but on many other screws, yes.

It might help, but unscrewing comes from torque applied to the plate, and friction of the plate plays a bigger role than the screw's threading (which is just there to maintain friction).

I've never had a problem with that, but it's worked well on other screws. There's nothing magical about "camera" screws, but the only way you'll know for sure is to try it.

Goods were delivered

The silver metal links / loops ( visible on the image below ) were not supplied,
although they were present / included on my order.
Apparently not available any more.

What do / can you use instead?
The triangular metal loops supplied with cameras feel not right in this situation / function,
simply wrongly shaped.

Split rings used for fishing work well. Used for holding hooks to plugs, they come in stainless steel and various sizes and strengths.

I use the triangular rings. They work fine. BTW, I also have the Peak Design handgrip for my 645Z. Love it.

I also use the triangular loops without problem. Otherwise, just remove them and slip the Anchors directly in the camera's hole.
