I intend to us a Domke Wrap to protect the GR. I assume you've come across this versatile accessory?

Yep, several brands make wraps like these. Not my cup of tea, but useful depending on the way you shoot and store.

I found the Domke wrap to work OK, but it tends to be a bit floppy. I mostly use it to wrap a second body when traveling. I use a camera insert within a military bag for my KP and several lenses. For a GRIII, I'd probably use a neoprene lens pouch. You can get an assortment for less than a one wrap and choose which size works best.

I tend to agree about the pouch. When you can buy a selection for the price of a wrap it's probably a better deal. However, the wrap, gives other options and its thinness is also an asset when space is a premium. I'll use both...
