However, I will repeat what I previously wrote:
Years ago, I used to practice macro using up to 4 flashs, most of them being attached to light stands.
It was of course difficult to use this kind of setup into the wild!
I also tried one single flash with several types of diffusers.
I also bought a Metz "ring-like" macro flash that I found mostly useless.
Now I use a Kuangren (Venus/Laowa) KX-800: single flash using 2 flexible heads. I very often use this flash that is very interesting for macro, portraits, etc. The mini-softboxes are optional.
