K100 and AF400T Marriage?

Hi Folks!

Call me old school

but I've always loved the "potato masher" style of flash, and I have a chance to get one of the older Pentax AF400T flash units.

But with it I'll also need a matching bracket, cord and, I suspect, a hot shoe adapter. I see several of all of those. Which do I need?

First of all you need to find out if the trigger voltage is appropriate, otherwise it'll fry your camera.

The AF-400T should come with the bracket that is attached to the bottom of the camera and the battery holder for 6 AA-batteries.

The sync cord needed is 4P sync cord B.

Mine works great with my *istDS, though I think it's too bulky to carry around

Aren't there different brackets?

Can't help you on those different brackets, I'm only aware of the one attached to the bottom of the camera...
